Abstract

This paper aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial orientation on strategic alliance decisions between rural banks and financial technology with a case study on People's Credit Banks and Sharia People's Financing Banks in the Malang Financial Services Authority area. This research is quantitative research with data collection methods using questionnaire instruments as a tool to collect data. The study used saturated sampling or census techniques. The sample is a strategic decision maker in BPR and BPRS in the Malang Financial Services Authority (OJK Malang) area which includes Malang City, Malang Regency, Batu City, Pasuruan City, Pasuruan Regency, Probolinggo City and Probolinggo Regency. The results showed that Innovativeness, Proactiveness, and Risk-Taking had a significant and positive effect on strategic alliance decisions between rural banks - fintech companies. That is, the high or low level of Innovativeness, Proactiveness, and Risk-Taking affect the strength or not decisions of BPR's strategic alliance with Fintech.
