Abstract

Life in the 21st century is inseparable from various competitions, one of the determinants of this competition is the ability to apply new knowledge to create an innovation with digital technology so that students need to be equipped with knowledge through education. Competencies that must be possessed by 21st century students are (1) Critical Thinking (2) Communication (3) Collaboration (4) Creativity. The results of interviews with science teachers at Tegal 10 Junior High School found that the results of students' motivation and creativity were low. Efforts that can be made to increase creativity and motivation can be through learning that utilizes E-modules with a STEM approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of E-module with the STEM approach on the motivation and creativity of Tegal 10 Junior High School Students. This research used Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent control group form. The results of the t-test were 8.74 because tcount > ttable concluded that there was a significant difference and the motivation of students was influenced by the E-module by 42.25%. The application of E-module with the STEM approach has an effect on student creativity with a t-test result of 4.77 so that there is a significant difference and 39.69% of student creativity is influenced by E-module with the STEM approach.
