Abstract

Many golfers believe that it is important to use clubs of the correct weight for the individual concerned in order to achieve maximum distance in a shot. To this end slight adjustments are often made to the mass of the clubhead used. The following experiments were carried out to test what effect, if any, a change in the mass of the clubhead is likely to have on the length of shot obtained.
