Abstract
Carbon Nanotubes In article number 2000069, Peng Liu, Kaili Jiang, and co-workers study the thermionic emission of individual carbon nanotubes with specified chiral index by selected area electron diffraction in transmission electron microscopy. Different from the traditional macroscopic materials, it is found that the emission of carbon nanotubes shows unsaturation when collecting emission electrons with an external electrode. The diameter, conductivity influences their emission behavior obviously.
