Abstract
The objective of this paper is to highlight the influence of barium titanate, a material well known for its piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties, on the behaviour of hybrid biocomposites based on collagen and hydroxyapatite. The specimens were produced in the form of scaffolds, being obtained from a collagen gel together with two powdered raw materials (commercial hydroxyapatite and laboratory synthesized barium titanate) and then characterized from morphological, compositional and biological point of view. Moreover, a numerical simulation was proposed in order to evaluate the influence of barium titanate nanoparticles on the magnetic properties in four different situations as respects their distribution on a flat surface.
