Abstract
Several protonated amine-templated uranyl oxalate complex were designed and synthesized, and the structures and optical properties were investigated by different techniques. The amine templates have a significant structural-oriented effect on the construction of uranyl oxalate complex. When alkyl substituents are added to N atoms, templated amines will be more flexible and helps build the crystals with a denser structure and a better thermal stability. The crystal properties are closely related to the amine templates: 4# (using N,N-diethylcyclohexylamine as the template) has a potential application as CO gas storage materials; 1# (using cyclohexylamine as the template) has a potential application for ultraviolet irradiation chemical dosimeter.
