Abstract
Summary Adrenocorticotrophic hormone and cortisone are without any apparent effect on the end results of histamine shock, or of passive or active anaphylaxis in guinea pigs. Since this paper was presented for publication a report appeared by Dworetsky, Code and Higgins [Effect of cortisone and ACTH on eosinophils and anaphylactic shock in guinea pigs, Proc. Soc. Exper. Biol. & Med. 75: 201–206, (1950)] which substantiates these findings.
