Abstract

Microbial contamination of poultry houses is an important stressing factor for growing broilers; since many pathogens are presently resistant to antibiotics and chemical antimicrobials the natural alternatives including essential oils are widely studied. The results of the study of the effects of combined feed additive Probiocide®-Phyto (containing a combination of organic acids and essential oils; 1,000 and 1,300 ppm) on the parameters of non-specific immunity (phagocytic blood activity), composition of intestinal microbiome, and productive performance in Ross-308 broilers are presented. It was found that the dose of the preparation 1,000 ppm resulted in the activation of non-specific immunity (increased phagocytic activity of leukocytes), and decrease in the intentinal concentrations of pathogenic and opportunistic microbial species.KeywordsMicrobiomeBroilersNGS-sequencingFed additiveImmunityProbiocide®-Phyto
