Abstract
The fundamental aim of a country like Bangladeshis to realise through the democratic process a socialist society, free from exploitation- society in which the rule of law, fundamental human rights and freedom, equality and justice, political, economic and social will be secured for all citizens. The Office of an Ombudsman is not a basic institution of a democratic government; but it is very important to keep democracy intact and effective. Article 77 of the Constitution of Bangladesh is inserted therein in conformity with this statement of the Preamble to attain the same purpose.
