Abstract

Internet technologies have enabled the realization of revolutionary treads in business world by creating a global online marketplace. As a result of this, in recent years, e-business has become an unignorable concept related to good business practice results. Different design and application fields have been revealed and significant acquisitions in functional and nonfunctional business fields have been achieved in supply chains with the solutions exposed by e-business technologies. This study aims at examining empirically the effect of e-business technologies on organizational collaboration and performance in supply chains. Accordingly, a study on Turkey’s the first 1000 manufacturing firms, which are determined by Istanbul Chamber of Industry, is conducted in the context of descriptive and relational survey models. Questionnaire method is employed in the study as data collection method. The survey questions are adopted from previous studies. Data gathered from firms are analyzed with univariate and multivariate statistical analysis techniques. The regression results show that almost all hypotheses are supported and although, e-business applications do not affect organizational performance, collaboration in the supply chain has a significant effect on the organizational performance.
