Abstract

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 1 EURegulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2016/679/ojDate: May 4, 2016 Date accessed: February 25, 2022 Google Scholar was implemented on May 25, 2018, stipulating rules on the protection of individuals regarding the processing and free movement of personal data. 3 years later, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOP Europe) conducted a survey among clinicians and academics from across Europe to investigate the impact of the GDPR on childhood cancer research, and to identify the challenges and opportunities in this field.
