Abstract

Objective To evaluate the impact of interleukin-22 (IL-22) on early remnant liver function and the relation on the regeneration after left lobe resection as well as the relation of IL-22 and influencing factors. Methods 60 cases from Tianjin Conclusion The expression of IL-22 increased after left lobe resection, which promoted the first central hospital with left lobe resection were included in this study, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), liver regenerative ratio (LRR) and clinic factors are compared with the expression of IL-22 after left lobe resection, and stepwise regression analysis was done to set up the regression equation. Results There were positive correlation between the ALT (98±10, 360±39, 135±21, 101±19) U/L, AST (179±35, 435±188, 251±22, 171±25) U/L and IL-22 (0.145±0.049, 0.193±0.050, 0.177±0.083, 0.149±0.073) at the time of preoperation and postoperative 3, 7, 14 days (R=0.712, P=0.037, R=0.854, P=0.022); The difference between LRRs [(13±6)%, (29±12)%, (38±17)%] at different stages after left lobe resection were significant (P=0.009). The growth within 7 days were the largest, and then slowly; The inclusionof middle hepatic vein had no significantinfluence on IL-22 after left lobe resection (P=0.555, 0.528, 0.378). Conclusion The expression of IL-22 increased after left lobe resection, which promoted the restoration restoration of liver function and maybe had the relation on the liver regeneration, however, surgical methods had little influence on the expression of IL-22. Key words: Interleukin-22; Left lobe resection; Liver regeneration; Liver function
