Abstract
Background: Volume-outcome effects in healthcare have been previously reported, including in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery. However, the definition of high-volume care for minimally invasive hepatectomy (MIH) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. We sought to define the impact of MIH hospital volume associated with better short- and long-term survival outcomes among patients with HCC.
