Abstract

본 연구는 노인요양시설에 종사하는 요양보호사의 감성지능이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향력과 임파워먼트가 이들 간을 매개하는 지를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울특별시와 경기도에 있는 16곳 노인요양시설의 요양보호사 296명을 대상으로 분석을 수행하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하였고, 매개효과 분석을 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 감성지능의 4가지 하위요인 중 요양보호사의 자기감성인식과 자기감성조절이 서비스 질에 정적(+)인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 임파워먼트의 4가지 하위요인 중 요양보호사의 의미성, 역량감, 자기결정력은 감성지능의 하위요인인 자기감성조절과 서비스 질 간을 매개하는 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 임파워먼트의 하위요인인 자기결정력은 감성지능의 하위요인인 자기감성인식과 서비스 질 간을 매개하는 것을 검증하였다. 이상의 연구결과를 토대로, 의미성, 역량감, 자기결정력 등 임파워먼트의 하위요인들의 향상을 통해 노인요양시설의 서비스 질을 높일 수 있는 방안과 제언을 하였다.The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of emotional intelligence on service quality of caregivers in long-term care facility and whether empowerment mediates between them. For this, an analysis has been conducted on 296 caregivers at 16 long-term care facilities in Seoul Metropolitan City and Gyeonggi Province. The results of the study were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and multiple regression analysis for mediation effect. The results of the study showed as follows. First, among the four sub-factors of emotional intelligence self-emotional awareness and self-emotional control of caregivers have a positive(+) effect on the service quality. Second, meaningfulness, competence, and self-determination of caregivers among the four sub-factors of empowerment, mediate between self-sensitivity control and service quality which is a sub-factors of emotional intelligence. Third, self-determination, a sub-factor of empowerment, mediates between service quality and self-emotional awareness that is a sub-factors of emotional intelligence. Based on the results, this study provides how to improve the service quality of long-term care facilities for the elderly by improving the sub-factors of empowerment, such as meaningfulness, competence, and self-determination.
