Abstract
The article examines the question of the peculiarities of Smolensk poetry, in which one of the main motives is to show the image of the small homeland, the native Smolensk region. The main features of the Smolensk poetic school, highlighted by the famous Soviet critic, native of Smolensk Adrian Vladimirovich Makedonov back in 1960, are determined. The poetic work of one of the brightest modern poets of the Smolensk region – Yuri Vasilyevich Pashkov – is analyzed. Based on the opinion of Makedonov, it is proved that Pashkov belongs to the followers of the Smolensk poetic school, especially one of its founders, Nikolai Ivanovich Rylenkov. The activity of Pashkov is shown as the organizer of the famous literary association of the modern Smolensk region, which was named by the poet «Spring». Based on the example of the analysis of the poetic lines of some representatives of «Rodnik», a tendency to continue to show the image of the small homeland in modern Smolensk poetry is noted.
