The article examines the assessment in the Byelorussian historiography and publicism of Governor- General M.N. Muravyov. The author considers scientifi c texts of Byelorussian scholars devoted to the personality of M.N. Muravyov. He also examines how M.N. Muravyov is evaluated in the Internet discourse
