Abstract
This article aims to describe the process of ideologization of brazilian economic thought initiated by the offensive of the business-military dictatorship and which has materialized today both in stricto sensu neoliberalism and in its variants, such as the case of the so-called neodevelopmentalism, as well as pointing out the challenges of marxism to consolidate itself as the positive overcoming of the Brazilian Political Economy.
