Abstract
Among the many progressive ideas of the Kazakh intelligentsia, the idea of uniting the Turkic peoples is of particular interest, which is reflected in the political and legal views of Zh. Dosmukhamedov and M. Shokai. In the article, the author considers the idea of unification of the Turkic peoples in the political and legal views of J.Dosmukhamedov and M. Shokai, who are representatives of the Kazakh intelligentsia of the early twentieth century and figures of "Alash". They fought for the freedom of their people and became the harbingers of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
