International Scientific Practical Conference “Breakthrough technologies and communications in industry” (BTCI2018)PREFACEThe conference was held on 20-21 November, 2018 at Volgograd state university (Volgograd, Russian Federation) and provided a forum place for discussion for PhD students, teachers, scientists, researchers from research institutes and industrial enterprises from Volgograd, Moscow, Irkutsk and other cities from Russia and abroad (Sweden, Germany, China).The conference served as a platform for the researchers to discuss and carry out a research on current production and communication technology in industry and production department. The aim of the conference was to present the innovative approaches to developing convergent solutions in engineering and technology, and also in interdisciplinary scientific researches. As the venue bore interdisciplinary character, the scientists and experts also had an opportunity to cover the applied aspects like training, oral communication, technical translation, interaction and others.Key topics of the conference covered priority research areas of technical, communication, educational and other related sciences and took into account global trends in social and industrial development.
