Abstract

The Hunters of the Alpine Ice exhibition originated from a research collaboration between territorial archaeologists and the first nation Mountain Dene, or Shúhtagot’ine, of the community of Tulita, in Canada’s Northwest Territories (NWT). The exhibit was part of the public communications component of the NWT Ice Patch Study, which was an International Polar Year (2007–2008) research project.
