Abstract

The Guelph Document System, the basis of the Codoc system, classifies and shelves government publications first by country of origin and then by hierarchy. The system is fast and economical and provides six points of access, including enriched key words, to the entire collection, using one computer-produced catalogue. It can be employed in any library from those with no other automation and no local computer facilities, to those with sophisticated, integrated, on-line systems.
