Abstract
The growth of β-LiA1SiO 4 crystals from high-temperature solution is described. A mixture of LiF and A1F 3 is used as a solvent. The crystals are grown by a slow cooling technique in the temperature range 1100-1000°C. The solubility of LiA1SiO 4 in LiF with different A1F 3 admixtures is determined.
