Abstract
The infrared spectra of two isotopic forms of silver monohydride ( 107AgH (51.35%) and 109AgH (48.65%)) in its ground electronic state ( 1Σ) have been measured using a tunable diode laser spectrometer. The AgH was produced in the gas phase by reaction of hydrogen with metal vapor at 1250°C in an electric discharge. An analysis of the experimental data has produced a more accurate set of Dunham parameters for AgH and a much improved value for the equilibrium interatomic distance.
