Abstract

Two new species of the genus Singhiella Sampson viz., S. keralica sp. nov., on Meiogyne pannosa and S. pterygotae sp. nov., on Pterygota alata are described, bringing the number of Indian species of the genus to twelve. A key to these species is also provided and S. bicolor (Singh) redescribed. Few new host and distribution records are also documented. Voucher specimens are deposited with National Forest Insect Collection, Forest Research Institute, Dehra Dun; National Pusa Collection, Division of Entomology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi; personal collection of BV David, Porur, Chennai; Institute of Wood Science and Technology, Bangalore and Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata.
