Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual male Operophtera brumata (the Winter Moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Geometridae). The genome sequence is 619.2 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 15 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 15.75 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 17,480 protein coding genes.
