Abstract
Much of the discussion at the recent Space Physics and Aeronomy section Executive Committee meeting held during the AGU 1991 Fall Meeting in San Francisco centered on future plans for JGR‐Space Physics (Blue JGR). As most SPA members already know, James Van Allen has stepped in to fill the vacant editor's position following the death of Chris Goertz. Van Allen has agreed to serve for about 6 months until a search for a new editor is completed. He has appealed to the associate editors for greater support and hopes that authors from the western Pacific area and Europe will make greater use of their regional editors.
