Abstract
This study outlines and assesses of the existing funding mechanisms in Norway. First, it presents the socioeconomic, normative and empirical fabric of the Norwegian setting. Next, it analyzes the rudiments of the existing funding mechanism for higher education and negotiates the role of international students in it. Finally, the paper deliberates on expected counterarguments and potential rival discourses in the existing funding structures.
