Abstract

The constitutional revolution is one of the most important sociopolitical events in the Iranian history. Specifically, according to circumstances occurred in different fields after the Industrial Revolution and the French Revolution, the Iranian society not only was affected by these evolutions but also it was randomly entered to international transactions. Besides, since the Gajar Kings had no knowledge about world evolutions particularly Europe, they were unable to recognize competitions and purposes of European powers in the world and region. So, Iran became the competition arena of three rival powers (Britain, Russia and French) and after some terrible failures from the Tsarist Russia according to Golastan and Turkamanchai treaties the Russians occupied some parts of Iran’s northern states therefore the inability of the Gajar kings to manage interior affairs peered well. After the Herat issue and the Paris treaty and then according to the Akhaal contract, vast areas were separated from Iran and because of these evolutions people and different groups of the society were inferred from inefficiency of the Gajars. Therefore, a series of struggles and oppositions began against the government which finally was lead to the constitutional command. This paper has assessed the quality of forming the first Iranian legislative assembly and its challenges and outcomes. The present research purpose is to study this topic and other issues related to it by using reliable and valid studious references, as well as it has done in a descriptive- analytical way. The research findings are indicating that the parliament was bombarded according to the MohammadAliShah’s command despite its useful services. In this paper, the rise and fall of the parliament, purposes and requests of originators and representatives and the amount of access to that aims were expressed by analyzing its measures and the establishment process and the paper is representing the place and importance of this parliament course.
