Abstract

Relevance of the topic relies on the existence of the problem of freedom in the modern world, which is a natural result of decrease in the values of freedom and the wrong understanding of youth its.The article provides a sociological assessment of implementation of freedom in choice of the medical profession – full-time students of Eastern State Medical University, Ministry of Health of Russia. It is underlined the need for education of the free personality, active in terms of freedom in choice. Obviously, the position freedom in career guidance is one of the most important factors influencing the attitude of individuals to its future profession. Purpose. To analyze the concept of freedom of choice of students of ESMU an example of the implementation of freedom in choice of the medical profession. Results. The article presents the social analysis on the implementation of freedom in choice of the medical profession students of ESMU. The survey of 200 students of different faculties ESMUconducted selectively in September-December 2014. It is concluded that the choice of the medical profession is defined by the interest of young people to the nature and results of the work, the existing social relations and the needs of the society. Reference of young people to the theme of freedom is a measure of enhancing of their social and civic life. Practical implications. The results can be used in career guidance in high school, as well as in the educational process as a whole.
