Abstract
At last! The long-awaited National Service Framework — Mental Health has been launched. And very interesting reading it makes. Theres lots in it for primary care teams, including key doctors, practice nurses and community nurses. The recognition of the roles of non-specialist nurses in mental health care is very welcome. But there is also a recognition of the training needs of nurses and this is where some of my concerns come in.
