Abstract

Let Z p be the cyclic group of prime order p acting on the compact space X with fixed point set F. We denote by χ(X ;Z p ) the Euler characteristic of the space X mod Z p and Ĥ k (Z p ;Z p ) the k-th Tate cohomology group of Z p with coefficients in Z p [2].
