Abstract
The collective of the Kiev T. G. Shevchenko State University will greet the forthcoming Twenty-fifth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) with new labor successes. Having joined in the all-people's movement for fulfilling the programs of the Ninth Five-Year Plan ahead of schedule, our higher education institution, through improvement in the organization of scientific research work, application of progressive research methods, and increased effectiveness of the labor of our scholars, has fulfilled the targets of our five-year plan in the area of science ahead of schedule. This achievement was promoted by the systematic work of the Party and other social organizations of the university that mobilized the collective to fulfill socialist pledges and monitored their achievement. The completion of our five-year plan for science had previously been slated for November 7, 1975. After publication of the decision of the April (1975) Plenum of the Central Committee of the CPSU on the convening of the Twenty-fifth Party Congress, the collective weighed its actual potential and assumed a new commitment: to fulfill the five-year plan by September 1, 1975. This commitment has been fulfilled.
