Abstract
An unusual hemocyte occurring in the insect Gromphadorhina is described on the basis of electron microscopic as well as light microscopic information. It has been named the crescent cell because of thh shape of its dominant constituent, a single large cytoplasmic inclusion body that contains an amylase-resistant PAS-positive material.
