Abstract

The fault diagnosis method in general involves detecting, identifying and locating the considered faults occurring in the dynamical system. We have tried in this study to show the exploitation of the Bond graph (BG) model with the fault signature matrix. The use of tools of the bond graph model of a process, allow us to detect the fault which are determined directly from the Diagnostic Bond Graph (DBG) and get the reason of a system dysfunction. Thereafter by bond graph, the localization procedure is based on the fault signature matrix generated by the Analytical Redundancy Relations (ARRs). In this paper, we present a statistical decision procedure to detect the operating mode. These tools allow us to detect the fault of a dynamic system dysfunction. Six tanks system is used to validate the approach in MATLAB/Simulink and to indicate the efficiency of the proposed fault detection procedure.
