Abstract
This paper tries to evaluate the conclusions of a 1990 study on the internationalisation of television. It is suggested by using examples from new developments that the internationalisation of television is more apparent than before, regardless of the new obstacles and counter tendencies that exist. The paper argues that the internationalisation of television is still better described as a process made up of several factors: politics, technology, business, diplomacy and industrial policy.
