Abstract

This paper presents an study of socio-demographic factors of reading speed. 533 subjects with different levels of education were involved in the study. It is shown that the reading speed is significantly dependent on the education level and value of daily reading and is not dependent on age or sex. Proposed to use a reading speed as an complementary indicator of the quality of education.
