Abstract

Aristotelians define law as a reason free from passion, while Realist, sarcastically define law as a good reason of a bad man. This research paper deals with the explorative study of the Realist School of jurisprudence in Indian context. The Realists believe that, the life of law is not logic but experience. Legal Realism in Indian context, in this research paper, is seen through the explorative study of the notions of "judicial activism", "judicial supremacy", "judicial over-reach", "judicial balancing" and "judicial adventurism".
