Abstract
Since the formal establishment of ear acupuncture theory in 1980's,the researchers carried out a great deal of work in theoretical clinical and basic fields and made great achievements.This paper summarized the research status of ear acupuncture theory from the perspectives of theoretical foundation,animal experiment and clinical application,thought over the existing problems and shortcoming and prospected the future work.
