Abstract

Department of Public Health and Healthcare of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education A.I. Yevdokimov Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry of the Ministry of Health of Russia has been training healthcare professionals for more than half a century. In 2008, the department launched a project to modernize the educational environment on a digital platform, including the development of active simulation technologies used in the training of healthcare management personnel. The game simulator «Virtual Medical Organization» has been developed, which has no analogues and is based on domestic legal regulation. The active use of simulation technologies in the pedagogical process of the department is based on the problem-target method and the principle of «learning by doing», when, solving practical problems, listeners come to the right answer on their own relying on the knowledge acquired and competencies formed. Such a teaching strategy promotes the involvement of the maximum number of analyzers and cognitive processes of the learner in the game process, which provides an integrative educational result at the output as a result of interaction. At the moment, there is an increasing need for remote use of simulation technologies in the educational process, which would make it possible to consolidate the acquired knowledge and expand the range of competencies of future leaders of health authorities and organizations. The article presents the experience of using the game simulator in the training and assessment of the competencies of healthcare management personnel and provides assessment for the effectiveness of its use. Based on the analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey of the listeners of the cycles of professional retraining and advanced training, conclusions were drawn about the effectiveness of the application of this educational technology in the system of additional professional education for the training of healthcare management personnel. The results of the study are aimed at replicating the possibility of using the presented simulator in a remote format in the process of training heads of health authorities and organizations.
