Abstract
Foreign policy is a crucial and fundamental topic in international relations, particularly in the field of international politics. As foreign policy determines the actions and reactions of political units in international transactions and interactions, a proper understanding of the basis of policymaking and implementation according to foreign policy analysis models is essential to comprehending the international environment. Given the importance of the topic, the research question is: What role do the three models of foreign policy analysis play in international politics? The author's hypothesis is based on the premise that states must understand the international environment to pursue their national interests. This understanding is derived from a conceptual model, the recognition of which is necessary. This study employed an analytical-descriptive method and used library tools for data collection. The findings indicate that the three models for explaining foreign policy in international politics have always been significant when considering internal capabilities and decision-makers.
