Abstract

Entrepreneurial competency is the key to decide the success or failure of College students’ innovative undertaking. How to measure a college student’ entrepreneurial competency is a long lasting difficult problem in the current educational field. In this paper, the index system for the evaluation of college students’ entrepreneurial competency is constructed. Based on this, the PCA-ANN model for the evaluation of college students’ entrepreneurial competency is established by combining PCA (principal component analysis) and ANN (artificial neural network) method, and an algorithm frame is designed based on PCA-ANN model. This method can not only reduces the dimensions of the data set and decreases the input variables of ANN but also avoids the influence of the coefficient between different indexes, accelerates the convergence and enhance the adaptability of the network. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show the feasibility and validity of the PCA-ANN model. The research work supplies a new way for evaluation of college students’ entrepreneurial competency.
