Abstract

In 1964, a group of clinicians and scientists established The European Association of Poisons Centres and Clinical Toxicologists (EAPCCT) to promote knowledge on diagnosis and management of poisonings. The association holds annual scientific congresses and has been in collaboration with a variety of international organizations. The EAPCCT aims to encourage research on toxicities and management of poisoned patients and facilitate/enhance communications among members, sister scientific societies and the European countries’ governments and authorities with respect to clinical toxicology. Members of the association are from 51 countries. The official journal of the EAPCCT is Clinical Toxicology.
