Abstract

ABSTRACT Through a review of the professional values and responsibilities with which catalogers identify most, i.e., patron service and the integrity of the catalog, this paper explores the significance of the professional catalogers' role when faced with major challenges to their ability to provide service and maintain the integrity of the catalog.
