Abstract

A method is presented for the determination of mono and di alkyl phosphates in the presence of the contaminants usually present when the sample is prepared by the reaction of P2O5 or H3PO4 on fatty alcohol. Total PO4, free H3PO4, hydroxyl, ash, and water are determined by simple methods and the percentage of mono and di esters are calculated therefrom.
