Abstract

SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model is a long-term distributed hydrologic model which can simulate basins well in China. But its original database is designed for US while it is not fit for China in the research. It has been restricting its development in China. In this paper, the method of establishing a database in Guishui River basin was focused on. Moreover, precipitation interpolation and the conversion of soil and land-use data are discussed. Finally, the calculation of the key data and parameters is presented, like solar radiation data and user weather station parameters.
