Abstract
Human cutaneous leishmaniasis is endemic in the Isfahan area and is of the rural (moist) zoonotic type. Active disease is usually found in childhood; older people usually have scars of old lesions. Parasites from patients were infective to laboratory animals, producing typical sores.
