Abstract
Objective To study the epidemiological characteristics of varicella in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College from 2005 to 2011.Method The data of varicella patients from Jan 2005 to Dec 2011 was analyzed.Results There were 823 cases in all.Most of the patients were 2 ～ 10 years old,but the onset age had been increasing year by year.The proportion of adult varicella patients was increasing yearly from 2005 to 2011.Most of the patients occurred in December and January.Conclusion We should pay attention to the prevention and control of varicella.
