Abstract

This work presents a scenario of the introductory lessonto the four-year course «Profession-Oriented Foreign LanguageStudy (English)» which comprises a set of tasks for the first-yearstudents at the B1-B2 level at English classes. The suggestedactivities provide reading, speaking, listening and writing practicesand encourage the students of non-linguistic specialties to discussthe issue of the importance of learning English for their futureprofessional activity.
