Abstract

This essay reviews the literary legacy of Anna Politkovskaya (d. 2006). I suggest that Politkovskaia's response to the Russo-Chechen war enabled her to craft a style of writing that uniquely engages with and critiques the violence intrinsic to war. Politkovskaia's work is further located within feminist anti-war perspectives.
