Abstract

ABSTRACTLong term successful foreign policy is always determined by a state's political, military and economic potential in its geographical context: i.e. it's geopolitical horizon. As this article demonstrates, maps can serve as a tool to ‘discover’ the diverse geopolitical horizons of countries. They can also be used to restructure the knowledge and awareness both of policy-makers and society as a whole; and, to illustrate these ideas, this article presents a selection of maps.
